Are the data centers operated sustainably?

All companies bear responsibility for the world of tomorrow - through sustainable business practices and the prudent use of resources.

When selecting our partners, we also pay attention to their attitude towards the environment and choose them according to whether they pursue ecologically, economically and socially sustainable operating concepts.

Our data center partner Global Connect regularly publishes its Corporate Social Responsibility Report. The CSR Report 2020 describes in detail the measures that Global Connect is taking.

And our data center partner AtlasEdge (COLT Datacenter Services until November 2021) also holds ISO 14001 certification for the Hamburg site for sustainable management with a certified environmental management system.

Both companies operate their data centers with 100% green electricity. Global Connect uses electricity from European hydropower plants.

Which standards are met?

The data centers used by CustomColo all offer at least:

  • Lockable racks
  • Separate and redundant A and B power supply
  • Redundant UPS system
  • At least one diesel-powered emergency power system
  • Redundant air conditioning
  • Centralized building management
Is GDPR-compliant use guaranteed?

As a German company, we are not subject to the US CLOUD Act. Our customers can therefore provide their solutions in a GDPR-compliant manner in German data centers. Dedicated infrastructures also allow us to take our customers' specific data protection and security requirements into account. Our customers thus retain data sovereignty and can securely operate particularly sensitive assets and resources or virtual machines for security- or availability-critical applications.

    What certifications do you have?

All data center locations hold various certifications. These are e.g.

    • ISAE 3402 Type II Report
    • ISO 9001
    • ISO 14001
    • ISO 20000
    • ISO 22301
    • ISO 270001
    • Uptime Tier III conformity
    • TÜV TSI Level 2 (extended)

We are happy to offer additional space in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf on request. Other locations on request.

Which line providers / carriers can be connected?

We only use data centers that are carrier-neutral. This is an important prerequisite when deciding on a data center provider. Carrier neutrality means that the operator of a data center leaves it up to its customers to decide which carrier or carriers they want to work with. This is why you will find all national and regional line providers from Germany, Europe and the world in one of our data centers. If a provider is not available in a data center, we will ensure that you still receive the connection via one of our other data centers.
